Who we are

Medenica is a studio for yoga, culture and wellness activities and is the controller of your personal data. This policy describes what the site and the studio really do.

What data we collect

  • Sign-ups and messages: the site has no form. When you contact us by email, phone, WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook, or sign up for a class, an event or a retreat, we receive your name, contact details and the content of your message.
  • Health data (a special category of data, only if you tell us yourself): information about injuries or health conditions you give us so that you can practise safely.
  • Payments: records of payments for classes and events.
  • Visits to the site: when you open the site, our server and Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, process your IP address, the time, the page opened and technical details of your browser. Cloudflare also records aggregate visit statistics without cookies.

Why and on what legal basis

  • Organising classes, events and retreats and answering your messages: performance of the contract, or the steps you ask for before signing up.
  • Health data: your explicit consent, which you give when you tell us and can withdraw at any time.
  • Keeping payment records: a legal obligation.
  • Running and protecting the site: our legitimate interest.
  • The Meta Pixel, only if you accept marketing cookies in the cookie window: your consent.

Who receives the data

We never sell your data. It is received only by:

  • the hosting provider, on whose servers in Germany (EU) the site runs;
  • Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site;
  • Google Fonts and the Tailwind CDN, from which the fonts and styles of the site are loaded; they receive your IP address when they do;
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, only if you accept marketing cookies (see Cookies), and Meta when you write to us on WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook;
  • our accountant, for payment records, and public authorities when the law requires it.

Health data is seen only by the studio instructors and is never passed on to anyone.

Cloudflare, Google, Tailwind and Meta are companies based in the United States or may process data there; such transfers rely on standard contractual clauses.

Daily backup copies of the database are also kept with an external backup service outside the European Union.

How long we keep the data

  • Messages and sign-ups: in our mailbox and messages, as part of business correspondence.
  • Health data: only as long as it is needed for safe practice; we delete it as soon as you withdraw your consent.
  • Payment records: as long as accounting and tax rules require.
  • Server access logs: 14 days.

Cookies

  • cookieConsent, a cookie and an entry in your browser storage: remembers your choice in the cookie window, 180 days.
  • Meta Pixel (marketing): the site is set to load it only after you accept marketing cookies. Meta then receives the pages you open, your IP address and browser details, and the cookies _fbp and _fbc are set (3 months), to measure and show advertisements on Facebook and Instagram. If you decline, it is not loaded.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion;
  • ask for restriction of processing and for your data in a portable format;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing before the withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, write to [email protected]; we answer within 30 days at the latest.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection of Serbia (www.poverenik.rs).

Minors

The site is not intended for persons under 15, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Security

The site works only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only the people at the studio who need your data to organise classes have access to it.

Changes to this policy

When the way we handle data changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
